At Canine Cottage all of our staff are dog loving trained professionals that will treat your dog like their own…and that’s like little STARS.

We are located in the heart of Barrhead with top quality dog grooming facilities and professionally trained staff.

As a customer of Canine Cottage your dog will enjoy being treated like a stars whilst being groomed to perfection. Our staff build strong bonds with your furry friends to a point where they can’t wait to come back to us. As a customer of Canine Cottage your dog will enjoy a wide range of pampering from running around, making friends, chilling out and that all important luxury groom.

We also offer DOG TRAINING and GROOMER TRAINING. Our GROOMER TRAINING ranges from sampler days to Level 3 Diploma Qualifications regulated by City & Guilds and Open College Network West Midlands.

At the Canine Cottage we diligently follow the Animal Welfare Act 2006 which puts a duty of care on all people permanently or temporarily caring for animals. Ensuring as much as possible that the health, safety and welfare of the animal is top priority at all times.

Regular grooming keeps your dogs coat, skin and nails in great condition. It prevents matting, overgrown nails and provides a full grooming health check every time we see your dog.

Coat Care
There are many types of dog coat and they all need a different approach. From fluffy finished bichons to de-shedding Labradors, we cater for them all. We have specialist knowledge and a state of the art equipped salon.

Smart Styling
Grooming styles come in all shapes and sizes. If you have a pedigree dog there will be a breed standard cut, however these are often impracticle and are modified to suit the owner. For all other dogs there are no standard cuts so the world is your oyster. Your dog can be as simple or sensational as you like.

Health Checks
Every time your dog is groomed it is checked from nose to tail for any issues at may have. We check the nose, ears, mouth, feet, nails, hair, skin, genitalia, anal area and for any random lumps and bumps. We also check for any signs of little unwanted visitors!. We do not diagnose or give advice, we are a bit like health watch dogs for your pets.

We do not use cage driers on dogs. This method of drying has potential dangers and discomfort for the dog which we will not expose them to. All of our dogs are lovingly hand dried.

We do not routinely use cages in our salon. Your dog will be free to move around with access to outside. All areas are secure and risk free.
