Far Horizons Holiday Cottages

At Far Horizons we have four characterful, stone-built, self-catering properties to let in the tranquil rural setting of south west Arran, in a commanding yet secluded location above the Kilbrannan Sound, on the upper slopes of the Corriecravie valley.

We are nestled on the south west coast, between the historic Lagg Inn and Blackwaterfoot with its beautiful beach, shops, hotel and the world famous 12 hole links golf course.

The self catering cottages are located on Ivy Cottage Farm, one of Arran’s traditional sea-farms, some four miles south of Blackwaterfoot and a quarter of a mile seawards of the main coast road, down a maintained stone track running along the Sliddery/ Corriecravie boundary.

The three smaller cottages face onto their own separate courtyard, for access and parking, while the largest property Lighthouses has further separate parking areas to the side and front of the property.

The Blacksmith’s Bothy, Hayshed and Ploughman’s Bothy each sleep 4 and are ideal for couples or small families. Lighthouses sleeps 7 or 8 and is popular with extended family groups.

All four properties offer a comfortable, well-equipped and secluded base for your Arran holiday.

TV/Satellite: all free-to-view channels. DVD-player in all cottages. Lighthouses also offers Sky Sports and Movies.

WiFi is available in Lighthouses, Ploughman's Bothy and Hayshed. Please note our broadband connection in a remote location is not 100% reliable.

Pets by prior arrangement only. One well-behaved dog (or max. 2 small dogs), with their own bed, can stay in the Ploughman's Bothy (£10 additional cleaning charge per dog) or Lighthouses (£20 additional cleaning charge per dog) only.

Dogs should bring their own beds and feeding-bowls, and must be kept under strict control in the vicinity of neighbouring livestock.
