Hillhead Caravan Park is located at the heart of the Earl of Kintore estate, near the quiet village of Kintore, surrounded by a range of lovely forest walks and the famous Castle Trails.

Situated just one mile West off the A96 Aberdeen - Inverness trunk road at Kintore, the park is just 13 miles from Aberdeen, in the centre of of 'castle country' and on Scotland's Castle Trail in the Gordon District.

Hillhead caravan park has 17 touring pitches, 17 of which have electric hook ups which have a 6 amp supply and all are on hard standing. Holiday homes are all fully serviced and in a quiet wooded setting on level grass.

There is a central outdoor childrens play area, a reception and a small shop onsite. The toilet block has excellent facilities including integrated facilities for the disabled, a launderette and indoor campers’ washing-up area; a charge is made for the laundrette facility but no charge is made for the hot water. We also welcome your family dogs to come away with you!

The famed Castle Trail is right on your doorstep leading you to fairytail Castles like Cragievar, Fraser, Drum, Crathes and Fyvie and historic houses like Haddo and Lieth Hall. Aberdeenshire is home to Scotland’s only castle trail; a selection of 16 unique castles. Experience the romance and history of these restored family castles, ruins and stately homes, by simply following the trail. With its distinctive white on brown signs and a blue castle logo, which leads you through the heart of Aberdeenshire, it couldn't be a simpler day out.

The only malt whisky trail in the world takes you into the Grampian Highlands with its beautiful rugged scenery. The Royal Deeside and the Queen's Scottish residence at Balmoral are but a short drive away, taking you through both Donside and Deeside The rivers Don and Dee give you excellent fishing opportunities.

If golf is your thing then choose from twenty five beautiful courses all within half an hours drive, and three of these are virtually on your doorstep the coastline offers glistening beaches, spectacular cliff top views and quaint fishing villages such as Pennan as seen in Local Hero.
