A Visit Scotland 4 star rated traditional stone built cottage dating from the early 1880's situated on Loch Leodamais in the centre of Port Ellen village on the Island of Islay. Sympathetically extended and modernised.

A fully equipped modern kitchen, 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 twin) sleeping up to 6, a Graco cot for the baby, an open plan lounge area with log burning stove and dining area with table seating for up to 6 and high chair, Freesat TV & digital entertainmemt systems, unlimited high speed Wi-Fi and thermostat controlled oil fired central heating throughout. All bed linen and bath/hand/dish towels are provided.

The lounge and dining areas are open plan with exposed original beams and oak flooring. The lounge area boasts a Charnwood multifuel stove with Caithness slate hearth. A large wicker basket of logs is provided.

The modern kitchen on the ground floor has fitted units, composite work surfaces, display units and all modern appliances. The 4 hob ceramic cooker has two turbo ovens with grill. A combi microwave provides a third turbo oven and second grill. The dishwasher and modern combi fridge freezer are located in the kitchen. The washing machine and separate tumble drier are located in the adjacent utility room. The kitchen looks out into the walled garden.

The bathroom on the ground floor has bath, separate shower cubicle and the shower room on the first floor has a shower cubicle also.

To the rear of the cottage the walled terraced garden extends to the private gated parking area for the use of guests. There is also ample street parking in Frederick Crescent to the front.

We are happy to accommodate pet dogs, by prior arrangement.

The Port Ellen village hotels, pubs, restaurants, shops and the Calmac ferry terminal are all within minutes walking distance of Islay65. Port Ellen, Laphroaig, Lagavullin and Ardbeg single malt whisky distilleries are all within easy walking distance of the front door.
