Kinloch Lodge is a historic hotel located on the shore of Loch-Na-Dal at the foot of Kinloch Hill on the Isle of Skye.
Kinloch Lodge is a historic destination hotel and restaurant on the Isle of Skye off the north west coast of Scotland. Our family-run hotel combines the relaxed comfort of highland hospitality with world-class food at head chef Marcello Tully’s restaurant.
Kinloch Lodge is a special place. It is somewhere to escape the noise and speed of modern life. Somewhere to relax and recharge, where you can take things at your own pace.
Kinloch is in a particularly beautiful part of the Isle of Skye: down a long drive, at the foot of a mountain and at the head of Loch na Dal. Here you will find some of Scotland’s best food, roaring fires, whisky on tap and giant beds.
Guest bedrooms in the North and South houses at Kinloch are individually decorated in colours and textures chosen to reflect Skye's distinctive landscape. Each is furnished with distinctive antiques, prints and paintings, and most have open views across sea-Loch na Dal or towards Kinloch Hill.
Choose from our Standard room - with or without a sea view, Luxury rooms which are larger, with a sofa and armchair and large bathrooms or our Suites - the biggest rooms in Kinloch, all found in the South Lodge. They have comfortable seating areas in a separate room and large bathrooms. With the most beautiful views over Loch na Dal, they are a perfect home away from home.
Room amenities include:
Food is the crowning part of the Kinloch experience. Feeding you well at every opportunity is something we take extremely seriously. Marcello Tully is the Brazilian-Scottish Chef Director of Kinloch Lodge, where he won and retained a Michelin star for seven consecutive years.
On the doorstep of this former hunting lodge, join Kinloch’s own guide, Skye Ghillie, Foraging in the forest and on Loch Na Dal’s tranquil shores, or Fly-Fishing for wild brown trout.
Across Skye, you can stalk deer around the Cuillin Mountains, flyfish for salmon and sea trout, spot plenty of wildlife and immerse yourself in its wilderness and history on one of our Wild Walks.
It’s no coincidence that Skye has been the backdrop of so many films and TV episodes attempting to recreate a fantasy land. It has a mesmerising beauty and extraordinary diversity from rolling moors to severe mountain ranges, other worldly rock formations and crystal clear mountain pools with rumoured healing properties. You’re never more than 10 miles from the coast, yet from top to toe it’s more than 100 miles of exceptional, ever-changing natural beauty.
