Loch Katrine Eco Lodges & Camping

There are 8 loch side lodges in one of the most special areas of the Trossachs over looking Loch Katrine and Ben Venue, from which to choose.

We offer you the opportunity to make one of these lodges your base for the week, weekend or a mid week break away from the rat race. Located 7 miles from Callander and 5 miles from Aberfoyle; our Eco Camp is the perfect base to get away from it all but still be within a short drive to bustling tourist hubs.

With this stunning location we are sure that this will be the starting point for memorable adventures in the Trossachs with walking, the Great Trossachs Forest Footpath runs close by; cycling, fishing or just taking it easy and enjoying the beauty of this very special place which is part of one of Britain’s largest National Nature Reserves.

During the darker nights, visitors can take advantage of our street light free location for a bit of star gazing too!

All our loch Lodges are names after local lochs, Loch Katrine, Loch Arklet, Loch Venachar and Loch Achray.

Loch Katrine sleeps two people in a king size bed. This lodge is in a raised position with a full glass front offering extensive views over Ben Venue and the loch.

Loch Arklet Sleeps up to three people (a fold away bed can be added if no wheelchair is being used - ideal for a child) and is suitable for wheelchair users. This lodge has a ramped access.

Loch Achray and Loch Venachar Eco Lodges sleep a maximum of four people. Two in a fixed double and two in a fold out king.

Our Loch Lodges come with luxury bed linen and towels; en-suite facilities with walk in electric shower; kitchenette with combo microwave, fridge and sink; Freeview HDTV, lighting and underfloor heating; and 20% discount on sailings on the Steamship Sir Walter Scott and the Lady of the Lake.

All have a deck area with picnic table; ideal for sitting out and enjoying the view.

Campervan Overnight Visits

We have spaces for motor homes of all sizes. Each one is equipped with water, metered electricity and WiFi internet access. Shower and toilet facilities are also available. The car park has easy access to the various walks surrounding the loch and to the tarred road on the north shore.

Camping

Pitch your tent in our secluded camping area close to Trossachs Pier and Loch Katrine, where we have 8 marked camping pitches available to hire for 1 night or more, these are available with electrical hook ups for a small additional cost. Our standard pitch is 2.6 x 4 meters, easily suited to a 4 person tent, with toilet and shower facilities in our shared block. The whole woodland area surrounding the camp is truly beautiful and is designated as a SSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and SAC (Special Area of Conservation). As a result of this, we do not allow charcoal BBQ's or open fires at the Eco Camp site to ensure protection of the woodland.
