The Montrose Park Hotel is located in the quiet mid-links area of Montrose, yet only a few minutes walk from the busy High Street and the beach.
The hotel is an excellent base for exploring the Angus Glens and all they have to offer. Castles, including Glamis and Dunnotar, are a little over half an hour away and for golfers the Montrose Links, the fifth oldest golf course in the world, is a leisurely five minute stroll.
Our welcoming bar and restaurant always provides a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a varied selection of dishes to tempt your palate throughout the day.
There are seven executive rooms at the hotel - one single, one twin, four doubles (all with king-size beds) and one Four-Poster. There are a further 29 standard twin rooms and 20 standard double rooms. They are all en-suite, however some have a shower only. Eighteen of our rooms are on the ground floor.
Included in the total rooms is the 'Coach House', which is a self-contained annexe in the hotel grounds. It offers one twin room, three double rooms, lounge, fully equipped kitchen and an enclosed garden area which makes it ideal for families or small groups. Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant or the entire Coach House can be booked on a self-catering basis.
All rooms have flat-screen television, iron and board, welcome tray, direct dial phone and free Wi-Fi access.
The hotel 'Parkers' restaurant offers a brasserie style menu in the evening with a daily changing 'specials' board, so there is always something to suit every taste.
There is also a bar supper menu served in the evening, with a selection of traditional favourites for those looking for something quick or informal. An excellent value lunch menu is on offer daily, and high teas are served on Sunday.
Montrose is an historic seaside town with a population of around 15,000. It is located almost midway between Dundee and Aberdeen. This makes it an ideal base for visiting the small fishing villages and towns dotted along the coast, or for a trip inland to discover the beautiful Angus Glens.
Golf is in abundance in this part of Scotland. Angus itself has dozens of courses available to visitors and the historic Montrose Links course is literally five minutes from the hotel.
