Set in the rural heartland of Dumfries and Galloway near Castle Douglas, our holiday lodges enjoy splendid views of grassy hills, woodland and wildlife. This idyllic setting offers a relaxing option for couples, families and friends.

Peacefully positioned, well equipped and fully insulated, these timber lodges offer you first-class accommodation within natural surroundings.

Our lodges sleep 3 or 4 people in 2 bedrooms, 1 double and one with single or bunk beds. There is also an open plan lounge / dining / kitchen area and a shower room.

The lodges at Queenshill Country Cottages are open all year round offering short breaks as well as longer holidays too. Our flexible approach gives you a greater choice when it comes to planning your holiday.

Our visitors are welcome to wander through the grounds of the estate, which include our walled garden. There's a grass tennis court, a croquet lawn and fishing on our private beat on the River Tarff.

You'll also find history and wildlife walking trails, an interactive family Faerie Trail, a coffee shop, pony trekking and riding centre close by on our estate at Barstobrick.

Queenshill has its own livery yard with grazing all year round. So if you'd like to bring your horse on holiday with you, you can - subject only to availability of space.

The local area around Queenshill has plenty to offer: safe sandy beaches, superb coastal walks, pretty harbour towns, 7 Stanes Mountain Biking Route, good fishing spots, excellent golf courses and a huge range of water sports.
