Raasay House is a 20 bedroom hotel on the small and beautiful island of Raasay.
Raasay is one of the most beautiful islands in the Inner Hebrides. Tucked between the Isle of Skye to the West and the Scottish mainland to the East, it is just 14 miles long and 4 miles wide. The Norse name “Raasay” means Isle of the Roe, or Red, Deer.
Raasay is the perfect destination for a day trip or a longer visit. While many visitors choose to scale Dun Caan, the distinctive flat-topped mountain visible from miles around, there are inland and coastal walks to suit all tastes; forests and beautiful beaches to explore, historic sites to discover and a richness of geology, landscape, flora and fauna rarely found in the British Isles. It’s unspoilt, peaceful, and inspirational.

The stunning ferry crossing from Sconser on Skye takes only 20 minutes and offers some of the most incredible views that you will find the area. The hotel provides a range of accommodation which is rated as “4 Star Guest Accommodation” by Visit Scotland.
You can relax in the decadent comfort of one of our deluxe sea-facing hotel-style rooms and get cosy in the adjoining lounge in front of our wood-burning stove. Families can enjoy comfort and space for all the family in our 3, 4 and 5 bedded family rooms, join in fun activity sessions and grab a quick game of foosball or table tennis before dinner in our games room. All hotel rooms are ensuite, with TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
Groups of friends travelling on a budget can stay in 6 and 8 person dormitory rooms but no matter what type of room you book, the unique Raasay House experience remains a visit to remember.
Think of stepping out of your front door to enjoy unforgettable views of the Cuillin mountains of Skye, or tucking into fantastic food featuring the best in local produce, or grabbing some photos of the local seals, eagles, otters and dolphins on a wildlife RIB trip. We strongly believe that you will not find such a diverse range of high-quality accommodation or so many fun things to do under one roof anywhere else in the Raasay and Skye area.
On top of the superb accommodation, the breathtaking scenery, the fantastic food and the exciting activities it is our authentic welcoming team looking after every aspect of your stay that will ensure you visit us again and again.

We are proud to be one of the few truly “Pet Friendly” hotels in the Scottish Highlands (we know some other places are merely “pet tolerant” and that is not friendly). Raasay House welcomes you and your beloved pets. We are committed to making pet owners and their pets as welcome as possible, whilst ensuring a safe and relaxing environment for all of our guests. Maximum of 2 pets per room and a pet fee of £10.00 per night will be charged to your bill to a maximum of £30 per stay.
