Ravenstar Bed & Breakfast

Ravenstar B&B is situated within the township of Vatisker and only 7 miles from Stornoway, the main town on the Isle of Lewis in the Western Isles.

Ours is is a homely and comfortable bed and breakfast situated on the east coast of the Isle of Lewis with views out to the Minch and on a clear day beyond to the mountains of mainland Scotland. It is just a few hundred yards walk from the house to the harbour and rocky shore.

Our accommodation comprises one double en suite room, one twin en suite room and one family room with private facilities adjacent. There is access to free WiFi broadband, a hospitality tray and quality towels and bedding in all rooms. A large and comfortable sitting room provides an excellent place to relax after a day of exploring and provides, TV, DVD’s, CD’s books to borrow and games for all the family.

All rooms provide comfortable beds with quality bedding, non allergenic pillows and duvets and central heating.

The Bran Room offers a double bed with ensuite shower, bedside tables, reading lamps and electric alarm clock. There is plenty of storage and views across the working croft and beyond to the Minch.

The Alder Room has a double bed and a single bed, there is also a cot or child's bed available if required. There is a hand basin, mirror and shaving point in the room and a bathroom just next door.

The Brighid Room is a twin with ensuite shower. This room has views across the garden.

Breakfast is served in a warm and friendly kitchen and consists of a full Scottish menu. We make our own bread, cereal and preserves for our guests and buy our other supplies from local businesses where possible. Many of our guests say that during their stay they felt “at home” and that’s just what we’re aiming for...

There are many walks across the machair, the famous flower-filled grasslands that run alongside most of the beaches. The beach of Coll bay is just a five minute drive away and one of over 20 sandy beaches in the local area, which range in size from golden vastness to a private hideaway.
