The Roman Camp Country House Hotel can be found in The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the first national park to be created in Scotland. The hotel is located within the boundaries of the scenic village of Callander, but secluded in private gardens and parkland in the area more affectionately referred to as 'Braveheart Country', only 15 miles west of Scotland's historic and newest city, Stirling. Visiting Scotland's main cities, including Glasgow, Perth and the country's capital Edinburgh is easy as Callander is centrally located.
We have 15 beautifully appointed suites and bedrooms all en-suite with Travertine tiled bathrooms and showers. Each of our bedrooms has a distinctive style and character of its own and all are individually designed, furnished and decorated with William Morris wall coverings to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Bedrooms are fitted with the latest technology to make your stay as pleasant as possible, including en-suite facilities, telephones, LCD Flat Screen Satellite Television, local and national radio stations, Wi-Fi and much, much more.
The restaurant, considered to be one of the best dining experiences in the country, has been awarded “Three AA Rosettes” for over twenty years, serving lunch and dinner to all. We also have a small café-bistro called the Potting Shed serving relaxed snacks, coffee and meals within the walled garden.
You can find forty odd Malt whiskies to choose from in our “Link Bar” it’s certainly an exciting place to be, but cocktails and a vast wine list are also on offer so you shouldn’t be spoilt for choice.
The bedrooms are dog-friendly although not in the public rooms (lounges and dining room) but our Potting Shed Bistro is dog friendly.
