Spiggie Guest House

The Spiggie Guest House offers guests an opportunity to stay in one of the finest guest houses in all of Shetland.

The Spiggie Guest House (formerly the Spiggie Hotel) is a small privately owned country inn with six en-suite rooms and two fully fitted self-catering apartments. Owners Chris and Missa Lee purchased the Spiggie in November 2017 and look forward to welcoming their guests to one of Shetland's longest serving hospitality establishments with over 140 years of history.

The Spiggie Guest House operates all year round with restricted opening hours during 'low season'. Guests are able to book online or directly through the hotel for bed and breakfast or half-board.

Whether you are a business traveller or on holiday, we at the Spiggie Guest House aim to make your stay as memorable as possible. We have a cosy bar with welcoming leather sofas and a real fire. We serve real ales including some from the local Lerwick and Valhalla Breweries and are currently listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

In the kitchen we provide simple, home cooked dishes, making best use of the fantastically fresh local ingredients. For example, our lobsters are caught from the bay you can see from the front window, our lamb could be from the croft next door. The eggs come from our Spiggie chickens and the herbs are grown in our own garden.
